Color Code Email

You can use color-coding to better identify email received from particular addresses or email sent only to you (rather than you and others).

Note:  If you apply color coding based on an item in your Inbox, all items located in other folders (from the same person) will also change color.  However, if you display a folder other than the Inbox then apply a color-coding rule, only items within that folder will change color.

This feature allows you to color-code email based on a senders' or a recipient's' address or whether the email was directed only to you.

Color-Code Messages From A Particular Sender

  1. Display the Organizer:

    1. While displaying your Inbox, click on Tools, then on Organize.
    2. Click on . The following window appears:
  2. Select a message (located in any email folder) from or to the address that you would like to create a color-code for.

  3. Use the list button beside Color message to select either from or sent to the address specified in step 2.

  4. Use the list button in the color field to select a color.

  5. Click on the Apply Color button.
  6. To return the color to 'normal', repeat these steps and choose Auto as the color (at the top of the list).

Color-Code Message Sent Only To You

Use this feature if you wish to color-code email messages sent only to you in a different color. (Theoretically, if you're the only recipient of an email, it might be more important than others...?)

  1. Display the Organizer as described above and click on Using Colors at the left of the window.

  2. Use the list button beside Show messages sent only to me in to select a color.

  3. Click on the Turn on button.
  4. To return the color to 'normal', repeat these steps and choose Auto as the color (at the top of the list).
