Email Themes

Themes offer preset formatting choices that effect the color and look of the text and objects you add to your email. You can apply a Theme before or after you type your document.

Using a theme in an email is only available when using an HTML or RTF email format.

Displaying Theme Controls    

  1. Start a new email message. You may wish to enter a paragraph or two to view the effect of the theme you select.


  2. Select the Options ribbon. Notice the Theme controls at the left side of the ribbon:

Themes

Selecting a Theme from the list provided is a quick way to apply one.

  1. Click on the Themes button. The following selections are displayed:
  2. Click on a Theme to apply it.

Try a few different themes. Notice that with each theme you select, text and objects change appearance.

Colors

You can also select a color theme for your document.

  1. Display the Theme controls as indicated above.


  2. Click on the Colors button. The following selections are displayed:
  3. Click on a Color theme to apply it.

Fonts

You can also select a font theme for your document.

  1. Display the Theme controls as indicated above.


  2. Click on the Fonts button. The following selections are displayed:
  3. Click on a Font theme to apply it.

Effects

Effects are a collection of line and fill effect settings that affect some types of objects such as smart art.

  1. Display the Theme controls as indicated above.


  2. Click on the Effects button. The following selections are displayed:
  3. Click on a Color theme to apply it.
