Use comments to annotate text or objects in your presentation.† Comments are not displayed when running a presentation.

Adding a Comments

  1. Display the Review ribbon. Notice the comment buttons near the center of the Review ribbon (only the New Comment button will be active until comments have been added to the document):†
  2. Add a Comment: Select the text or object that you wish o add a comment to.
    1. Click on the New Comment button to add a comment.
    2. In the Comment box, type your text/note.
      Note:† If the userís initials are incorrect, refer to the PowerPoint Options article.
    3. Click anywhere outside the comment box when done.
    4. If Show Markup is selected, the comment will show the initials of the creator followed by a sequential comment number.

Show Markup (Hide/Show Comments)

To view comment indicators on a slide, click on the Show Markup button within the Comments area of the Review ribbon.

Viewing Comments

Rest your mouse on the comment indicator to view the comment. Use the Next and Previous buttons in the Comments area of the Review ribbon to skip to the next or previous comment.

Editing Comments

Select the comment you wish to edit by single-clicking on the comment indicator. Click on the Edit Comment button on the Review ribbon. Make changes as desired then click outside of the comment box.

Deleting Comments

To delete a single comment, select the comment you wish to delete by single-clicking on the comment indicator. Click on the top part of the Delete Comment button on the Review ribbon.

To delete a multiple comments, click on the bottom part of the Delete Comment button on the Review ribbon. The following options appear:
